Two taxi drivers were involved in a dramatic crash at an intersection along Olympic Way in Kingston after both vehicles allegedly failed to obey a stop sign.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:47 p.m. on Thursday, with CCTV footage capturing the moments leading up to the crash.
According to the footage, both drivers appear to have disregarded a stop sign before entering the intersection. The two vehicles, both white Toyota Probox motor cars, then collided with each other.
One of the taxis was travelling along the main road, while the other was attempting to cross through the intersection. The impact caused the vehicle that was crossing the main road to overturn, leaving it on its side on the side of the road.
The other Probox remained upright following the crash, although both vehicles appeared to have sustained damage.
Despite the dramatic nature of the collision, no serious injuries were reported.
The CCTV footage has since been circulating online, prompting reactions from viewers who have been examining how the two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time.
The incident also highlights the potential consequences of failing to obey stop signs, particularly at busy intersections where vehicles are approaching from multiple directions.
No further details about the drivers or whether any charges were issued were immediately available.
