Masicka is wasting no time making his presence felt with his latest album, Forever Reign.
The Portmore-born dancehall star’s 17-track project has already debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Albums chart, giving Masicka a strong start as he continues to solidify his name in the Dancehall space.

Forever Reign marks Masicka’s third studio album and his second project released through Def Jam Recordings. The album brings together several notable names from Jamaica’s reggae and dancehall scene, including Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Lila Iké, and Kraff Gad.
The production is also stacked with familiar names, like Dunw3ll contributing alongside Dre Skull, Di Genius, Supa Dups, Sly Bad Musiq, Atto “Attomatic” Wallace, and Dan Sky.
Masicka Opens the Album With Damian Marley
The project begins with “1 Psalm,” a reflective collaboration with Damian Marley that sets the tone with themes of faith, perseverance, and overcoming challenges.
From there, Masicka takes listeners through a variety of sounds and moods across tracks including Oak Tree, Pointless, Boasty, Time and Place, Breaking Chains, and more.
Early reactions from listeners have been encouraging, with fans already discussing their favourite songs from the project.
Some listeners have praised the album as a complete body of work, with one fan saying they were having difficulty choosing a favourite because so many of the songs stood out. Others have simply described the project as a solid album.
Among the tracks attracting early attention are 1 Psalm featuring Damian Marley, Honor Roll featuring Kraff Gad, listeners commented saying this track suprised them in a good way and Oak Tree, which has been singled out by some listeners as one of the album’s standout moments.
Masicka Heads to Barclays Center
Masicka’s album release will be followed almost immediately by a major performance in New York.
On Saturday, August 15, the dancehall star is set to headline Reggae Fest at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where he is expected to bring some of the new Forever Reign material to the stage alongside songs from his established catalogue.
The performance also marks an important moment for Masicka as he takes on his first headlining show at Barclays Center.
With Forever Reign arriving on Friday and a major New York performance scheduled for the following night, Masicka is moving quickly to capitalize on the momentum surrounding the project.
Rather than slowly introducing fans to his new album era, the Top Form deejay is opening the chapter with a No. 1 chart position and one of New York’s biggest stages waiting for him the very next day.
For Masicka, Forever Reign is already off to a promising start. Now, the focus shifts to whether the album can maintain that momentum beyond its opening weekend.
