Popular businessman/drag racer Dean Shaw gunned down in St. Andrew

The Jamaican motorsport fraternity lost an icon when a businessman was shot and killed at Shortwood Plaza in St. Andrew on Saturday afternoon.

The businessman was identified as Dean Shaw and is the owner of the complex where he was killed.

Reports are that two men on a motorcycle dressed in hoodies rode on the complex and opened fire at Mr. Shaw.

Upon hearing the explosions, family members found Shaw lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.

The business mogul was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No motive has been established for the attack.

Shaw is popularly known in the motorsport world for his drag-racing and setting records at Vernam Field with his Chevy Camaro.
