The community of Troy, in the Trelawny parish, has been plunged into mourning following the death of a Primary School student on Tuesday night.
The young girl was reportedly attacked, raped, and killed, and her body was dumped into the bushes.
A resident discovered the body in nearby bushes and quickly alerted the community.
Angry residents launched a manhunt for the suspect, who was an elderly man, and confronted him.
He was later mobbed by residents of Troy and brought to swift ‘jungle justice’.
The young girl attends the Troy Primary School in the parish and was known as a model student.
Details surrounding the incident are still unclear.
