A bartender was shot and killed on her second day on the job in New Green, Manchester Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened at a bar in New Green Square in the parish.
The deceased has been identified only as “Kerry” of a Portmore, St. Catherine address.
Reports are that two men armed with handguns entered the business establishment and robbed it of an undetermined sum of cash.
After taking the money, the men then pointed their firearms at the bartender, shooting her in the head.
The robbers then ran to a waiting motor vehicle and fired several shots in the square before escaping.
The police are currently on the scene combing through evidence.
