Another killing by the police has rocked the nation with four more men being killed by security forces in Retirement, St. James on Wednesday morning.
Seven men were killed by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force on Tuesday across three parishes, marking the total to 11 police fatal shootings in 24 hours.
Reports are that, a team of police officers was in the area in search of men connected to a recent murder in the vicinity.
While patrolling in St. John’s, the police were reportedly attacked.
An alleged confrontation ensued, and when the shooting subsided, four men were found suffering from gunshot wounds near the Retirement Dump.
No cops were injured.
The deceased were taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.
The identities of the men have not been disclosed.
The Independent Commission of Investigations INDECOM has launched an investigation.
143 people have so far been killed by the police this year.
