A female shopkeeper shot on Tuesday at her business place in Wildman Street, Downtown Kingston, has succumbed to her injuries.
Residents identified the victim as Tashna, a businesswoman from the community.
The shooting sent shockwaves through the local community. Residents say the woman, known for her friendly personality and long-standing presence in the area, was attacked by unknown assailants while attending to customers.
CCTV Footage of the incident shows the trigger man clad in light blue jeans, a white buttoned shirt, white shoes, and a pink hat.
In the video, the shooter went into the shop and placed his order.
Moments later, the unknown assailant pulled a firearm from his waistband and fired multiple shots in the direction of the victim.
Residents summoned the police and transported Tashna to the Kingston Public Hospital.
Tashna leaves behind three children who are now left to mourn the tragic loss.
Detectives have not established a motive for the attack.
