Another man was this evening shot and killed by the police in an alleged shoot-out in Shelter Rock, Spanish Town.
The deceased has been identified as Charles McDonald otherwise known as ‘Chups’ from Jones Avenue in the parish.
This brings the tally to three alleged gangsters killed by the police in the St. Catherine North Division in less than 24 hours.
The latest incident happened around 2:00pm on Saturday.
Reports from the police high command are that, upon seeing the police, McDonald engaged the police in a gun battle.
After an exchange of gunfire, McDonald was seen suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was later taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A curfew has been imposed in sections of Spanish Town and surrounding communities.
