Teachers and students are now in mourning after a 15-year-old male student was stabbed by another student on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Raniel Plummer, a 9th-grade student of Irwin High.
Reports are that, Raniel was attacked by a group of students when he was stabbed in the chest by a 14-year-old male.
The teen was then rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A meeting was held by the teachers with grieving students speaking about carrying weapons on the school compound.
The police are currently monitoring an increase in school violence in recent weeks.
