Suspect in cops murder in St. Ann killed by police

The man who was wanted for the murder of a Constable in St. Ann on Tuesday was on Monday shot and killed by the JCF.

Reports are Butler was killed in a confrontation in Snake Lane, Steer Town, St. Ann, and a firearm was recovered.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force has identified the deceased as Siraldo Butler, otherwise known as ‘Sirri’ in the parish.

Constable Ricardo Fairclough was shot and killed after foiling a robbery taking place by the now-deceased suspect.

A female street vendor was shot and injured and Constable Fairclough responded which turned into a shoot-out with the suspect.

The Constable was shot in the upper body and later succumbed to his injuries.

A Jamaica Constabulary Force launched a manhunt for the suspect which concluded in less than 24 hours.
