Rising Grants Pen Dancehall artiste Jamarii is showing another side of his artistry with his latest single, “Mirror Mirror,” a Dancehall track for the ladies produced by Shakespeare.
Jamarii is quickly becoming one of the names to watch in Jamaica’s new generation of Dancehall talent.
The Grants Pen native has been steadily building his catalogue with releases that show different sides of his musical personality, including his massive hit, No Days Off, a collaboration with Dancehall Artiste 450.
‘No Days Off’ brought Jamarii international attention and introduced his sound to a much wider audience, but the young artiste has continued working and adding new material to his catalogue.
He has since released “Clean Heart” and has now returned with “Mirror Mirror,” produced by Shakespeare.
Jamarii Gets Personal on ‘Mirror Mirror’
“Mirror Mirror” takes Jamarii in a completely different direction.
The song is a raunchy, playful record made with the ladies in mind, with Jamarii using his smooth, melodic delivery and clever wordplay to create a track designed for the dance floor.
One of the standout moments comes when he flips the classic “Mirror Mirror” phrase into a distinctly Dancehall-style question:
“Mirror Mirror mirror pon di wall, who got the best p***y of them all, you have it, babes you got it, you mami, mi nuh si this usually”
Jamarii continues the theme with another memorable line:
“you come from good p***y capital, rep rep clean p***y ambassador”
The line plays on the idea of the woman being an ambassador for all women with clean hygiene, giving the song its playful and unapologetic tone.
Rather than simply relying on shock value, “Mirror Mirror” gives Jamarii another opportunity to demonstrate his versatility. The artiste who introduced himself to many listeners through the more motivational energy of “No Days Off” is now showing that he can also create music specifically for the ladies.

The accompanying “Mirror Mirror” music video has also been gaining traction since its release.
The clean, polished visuals feature video vixens dancing along to the track while Jamarii delivers his vocals, creating a visual that matches the song’s energy without taking away from the music.
Thousands of views have already accumulated on YouTube within hours of the video’s release, with female listeners expressing how much they loved the song.
Some listeners have expressed that Dancehall needs more songs specifically made for women to dance to, suggesting that “Mirror Mirror” could find a natural home in parties, clubs and dance-focused playlists.
The Story Behind ‘No Days Off’
For Jamarii, the road to international attention came through an unexpected decision.
The artiste was originally supposed to go to his regular day job on the day that changed his career trajectory. Something told him not to go, and with the extra time on his hands, he ended up heading to the studio after being contacted by Falcon.
As fate would’ve brought the two talents together, Jamarii met 450.
450 reportedly recognised Jamarii’s talent and suggested that the two artistes collaborate. Jamarii accepted the opportunity, and the rest became history.
“No Days Off” subsequently gave Jamarii a major boost and allowed listeners outside Jamaica to discover the young artiste.
The success of that collaboration has given Jamarii an important platform, but he appears determined to show that he is more than a one-song artiste.
Jamarii has already demonstrated that he can move between different styles and subject matters, and for a young artiste still establishing his name, that versatility could prove important.
