Dancehall artiste Chronic Law, born Ackeme Campbell, has broken his silence following his recent arrest in the United States, using social media to address the situation and push back against what he says is false information being circulated online.

The deejay said he felt it was necessary to speak out after seeing what he described as misleading reports circulating online.

While he acknowledged that his legal situation is ongoing, he insisted that many of the stories being shared fail to reflect what is actually happening.

In a lengthy statement posted to his Instagram Story, Chronic Law claimed his current ordeal is not an isolated incident but something he believes has been happening for some time.

“I want to address this once and only once,” he wrote. “What is happening to me is not new. It is part of a long, ongoing situation, and I believe I am being repeatedly targeted and harassed by the same officer connected to my arrest back in January.”

The entertainer went on to explain that after spending several months in ICE custody and eventually regaining his freedom, he was detained again shortly after performing at the Rise N Toast event on July 5.

According to Chronic Law, officers arrested him over what he described as an alleged warrant from Georgia, despite having performed in Atlanta just one day earlier without encountering any problems.

He also expressed concern about the impact the repeated arrests have had on both his personal life and his music career.

“At this point, this situation is affecting my freedom, my life, and the career I have worked hard to build,” he stated. “I am prepared to face any legitimate legal matter through the proper legal process, but I am asking for the continued targeting and harassment to stop.”

Beyond addressing his legal situation, the dancehall artiste used the opportunity to call out several bloggers and vloggers whom he accused of publishing inaccurate stories in pursuit of online engagement.

Mentioning platforms such as On The Spot and My View, Chronic Law urged content creators to verify information before presenting it as fact.

“Before unnu put out wrong and misleading information about me, do unnu f**king research,” he wrote. “Stop trying to tear me down and damage my reputation just for views and attention. Unnu a play wid people life and career without knowing the full story.”

His comments have since sparked conversation across social media, with fans weighing in on both his statement and the reports surrounding his arrest.

Chronic Law’s latest arrest reportedly stems from an alleged warrant issued in the U.S. state of Georgia. Following his detention, he was placed in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Earlier this year, he also spent several months in ICE detention before being released.

While officials have not publicly outlined the full immigration-related details of his case, the artiste maintains that he is prepared to answer any legitimate legal matter through the proper channels and is urging the public not to accept every online report as fact.
