Bull Bay residents were left shocked after a 50-year-old man killed his 25-year-old girlfriend with a machete then killed himself.
The incident occurred in Stable Park, Cane River, Bull Bay, St. Andrew on Friday night.
The man was identified as Rohan Edwards, a labourer of Cane River.
The woman was identified as Kadane Blackstock, a cashier.
The couple died leaving behind four children.
Reports from the Bull Bay police are that, sometime around 11:30pm, residents reported hearing screams coming from the home the couple shared.
The police were contacted and Kadane’s body was found lying outside their home in a pool of blood with multiple chop wounds.
Rohan’s body was later found hanging from a tree nearby.
The four kids were found inside the house crying and confused.
The children were taken from the crime scene, and the couple was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.
Residents told the police that the couple had been having frequent arguments and physical altercations.
Sure, here’s a version with less passive voice:
According to the police, the last altercation happened Thursday, and officers helped Blackstock relocate. However, she went back to the house on Friday which led to another confrontation that ended her life.
