Son Allegedly Mowed Down His Father With His Car After a Dispute in St. Thomas

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is seeking the whereabouts of a man who allegedly mowed down his father with his motor vehicle in Wheelerfield, St. Thomas on Monday.

The deceased man has been identified as Oneil Ferril. Ferril, who was a resident of Port Morant, St. Thomas, was also known by the alias ‘Neil’.
According to reports, Ferril and his son had an argument at a premises where they were both doing construction work at about 9 a.m. Their verbal confrontation later turned physical, with Ferril allegedly chopping his son.

He then fled the scene on his motorcycle. His son allegedly pursued him in a car and then struck him from his bike with the vehicle. Initial reports indicated that Ferril died from the head injury he suffered after being thrown from the bike.

However, according to the Head of the St. Thomas Police, Superintendent Michael Campbell, Ferrill’s son attacked him after he was thrown from the motorcycle.

“The son drove him down and used his motor vehicle to eject his father from his motorcycle and went on to even attack him further,” Campbell stated.

The superintendent went on to urge people familiar with the suspect and his family to share his whereabouts with the authorities. The suspect is beleived to be in the Trelawny area.
