A brawl at ZIMI Seh Beach on Sunday has sparked widespread outrage on social media after videos showing several patrons involved in a physical altercation began circulating online.
The incident took place on August 9 at Puerto Seco Beach in Discovery Bay, St Ann, where ZIMI Seh Beach was being held as part of the 2026 Best Weekend Ever event series.
Videos circulating online show multiple men involved in a confrontation, with several patrons seen gathered around as the altercation unfolded.
The footage has generated significant online discussion, with many social media users expressing disappointment with the scenes and questioning how the situation was allowed to escalate at the popular beach event.
ZIMI Seh Beach was one of seven events included in this year’s Best Weekend Ever series, which formed part of Jamaica’s Independence weekend celebrations.

“The safety and security of our guests remain a priority,” the organizers said.
The company pointed to its track record of providing entertainment experiences for thousands of patrons and said the incident was not reflective of the environment it works to create.
The organizers also addressed what they described as narratives circulating online, saying the incident being brought to attention allowed for the appropriate intervention to take place.
Best Weekend Ever said its team remains available to the relevant authorities to assist in ensuring that a similar situation does not happen again.
Additional Security Measures Implemented
With the final event in the 2026 Best Weekend Ever series taking place on Monday, the organizers said additional security measures have been put in place.

Best Weekend Ever also thanked its patrons, partners, security teams and other stakeholders for their continued support.
The organizers said thousands of patrons have attended the events throughout the 2026 series and that the events have generally been enjoyed safely.
