Two men were shot by in an alleged shoot-out with members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force in Mandeville, Manchester on Friday night.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.
Reports are that, acting on intelligence, the police trailed a silver Toyota Axio motor car carrying armed men. Upon approaching the vehicle, the men reportedly fired at the police who returned fire.
After the shooting subsided, both participants in the vehicle were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
The alleged gunmen were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Two firearms were reportedly recovered.
