Police allegedly confronted a man at his home on 1 Content Avenue, Waltham Park, early Wednesday morning, fatally wounding him.
The deceased was identified as Shaqcol Pounall, a 23-year-old employee at Kestrel Industries Limited.
Residents reported that around 5:00 a.m., police burst into Shaqcol’s home, dragged him outside, and shot him multiple times.
The police then immediately left the scene with the body.
INDECOM is probing the incident.
Shaqcol became the 96th person killed by the police this year.
Human Rights groups like the (JFJ) Jamaicans For Justice and the Independent Commission Of Investigations INDECOM are calling for the use of body-worn cameras on members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
