Arsonists set fire to Courts Bargain Centre in Spanish Town following the killing of One Order Gang leader Ophneil ‘Thick Man’ Lobban.
It is uncertain why the court’s store was targeted, but members of the Jamaica Fire Brigade are on the scene to control the flames.
Thick Man was fatally wounded on Wednesday night by the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime CTOC in a police chase in Six Miles, St. Andrew.
Thick Man is said to be the reputed leader of the One Order Gang based in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
Moments after news circulated about the gang leader’s death, the police received several reports of gunfire coming from the Tawes Pen community.
There is currently a strong police-military presence in the surrounding area.
