The police have brought calm to a hostage situation at a Wholesale in Spalding, Manchester on Sunday.
Reports are that armed men entered the Dragon Home Wholesale and Supermarket in Spalding in an attempt to rob the business establishment.
A police Sergeant who was present at the scene was shot and injured by the gunmen.
The Sergeant was assisted to the Percy Junior Hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
The robbers then barricaded themselves inside the establishment.
DSP Carey Duncan, who leads the Manchester police, confirmed the active robbery is currently under control.
The robbers have surrendered to the police after a joint police-military team breached the building.
Four suspects were taken into custody and firearms seized.
