Two men were shot and killed early Tuesday morning by unknown assailants in Downtown, Kingston.
The men have only been identified by their aliases ‘Dante’ and ‘Danto’ both of Kingston addresses.
Reports from the Head of the Kingston Western Division, Superintendent Michael Phipps confirmed.
The shooting happened at the intersection of North Street and Orange Street at around 7:30am.
Police officers who were patrolling the area arrived at the scene and saw both men lying on the ground with bullet-riddled bodies.
The men were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
This incident comes 12 hours after a mass shooting at a football match in Pleasant Heights, Rockfort where five men were fatally shot.
Seven people have so far been fatally shot in Kingston between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Phillip Paulwell, Member Of Parliament for Kingston East and Port Royal have so far condemned the mass shooting.
