Two police officers have been confirmed dead and two others admitted in a hospital following a motor vehicle accident in York Town, Clarendon on Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified as Constable Shawn Atkins and Constable Jessica West.
Reports are that the four cops were traveling along the York Town main road when their service vehicle lost control and ran into a precipice.
The four cops were then rushed to the hospital where Shawn and Jessica were pronounced dead.
The two other cops were admitted.
Another motor vehicle accident was reported in Mandeville at about 7:00pm where six people were injured in a two-vehicle collision along Winston Jones Highway in Mandeville.
