A Jamaica Defense Force (JDF) soldier was found dead along the Palisadoes main road in Kingston Tuesday morning.
He is identified as 30-year-old Corporal Sekou W. Medder of an Anderson Road, Kingston 5 address.
Preliminary reports are that the soldier is suspected to have committed suicide.
The soldier’s body was found unresponsive with a single bullet wound inside his military Prado service vehicle.
His service pistol can be seen in his hand and his uniform soaked in blood.
Medder was reportedly added to (CISOCA’s) Centre for Investigations of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse watchlist as he was being investigated for being involved with a female under the age of consent.
The child is 12 years old.
The incidents reportedly happened on July 21, 2024 and July 29, 2024.
Investigators are currently on the scene.
