Churchgoers were sent scampering into panic after a short burst of gunfire nearby claimed the life of a 33-year-old man in St. Ann’s, Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday morning.
The victim has been identified as Nickel Morris.
Reports are that, Morris was inside his black Nissan Almera motor vehicle at the bottom of Sydenham Avenue at 7:45am.
CCTV footage shows Morris getting out of his car, crossing the road then stopping to talk with a male friend.
Morris and the unidentified man had a brief conversation before it was cut short.
Seconds later, a silver motor vehicle drove up beside them, two men alighted from the vehicle and fatally shot Morris before driving off.
Morris’s friend ran and escaped with no injuries.
A shopkeeper disclosed that Morris was targeted in the past.
No motive has been established for the attack.
