The body of 20-year-old Alrick Moncrieffe who was washed away in a Gully in Havana, Arnett Gardens last week Wednesday during Hurricane Beryl has been found.
The body was seen floating in the water near the Petrojam plant in Kingston at around 11:00am.
It was then towed by the Marine Police to a fishing village in Greenwich Town where family members identified the body.
Alrick was reportedly the first person to pass from Berly’s wrath on the island.
Alrick also known as ‘Kalonji’ was reportedly playing football when the ball fell into a gully.
He rushed to retrieve the ball and came into difficulties and was washed away by the floodwaters.
A search party was then launched to find the missing man.
Family and friends told radamm.com that they are happy to have closure and will now make funeral arrangements.
