A shooting outside the Mississauga nightclub around 1:30am on Sunday has claimed the life of a 19 year-old woman.
Reports from the Peel Regional Police are that the woman was standing on the sidewalk in a Plaza near Eglington Avenue in Mississauga, Ontario when shots were heard.
The woman was then rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Dancehall artiste Malie Donn, real name Kimalie Hylton has sent his condolences via social media platform, instagram.
“I want to extend my deepest condolences to the family of the female that was shot and killed last night while trying to attend my show.”
The shooting stalled Malie Donn’s performance, however the show went on as the police theorized the shooting was isolated and there was no threat to public safety.
No arrest have been made yet, investigators are combing through the evidence.
