A man was found buried beneath a collapsed container in Little Haiti, Negril during Hurricane Melissa.
The man was identified only as ‘Jermaine’ a homeless man from the community.
Residents discovered the body partially buried under the container on Wednesday morning.
The homeless man made a home beneath the container.
Residents observed Jermaine taking shelter under the container before the hurricane.
“A inna the evening when rain start fail me see him a go under the container fi tek shelter”, one resident told Radam Magazine.
It is believed that the strong winds from Hurricane Melissa caused the container to shift and crushed the now-deceased while he slept.
