Following Vybz Kartel’s historic Reggae Fest concert in Brooklyn, New York, last weekend, Alkaline delivered Dancehall’s second massive sold-out show within a week.

Like Kartel’s Barclays concert, Alkaline’s New Rules Festival sold out ahead of its scheduled date for last night in London, England, at the OVO Arena Wembley. Before Alkaline took to the stage, the 12,000 Dancehall fans gathered at the OVO Arena were treated to performances from rising Dancehall artsites Armanii and Rajahwild.

The young entertainers kept the crowd engaged with hits such as Wild Out and HAAD (Fiesta), with RajahWild creating a bit of pandemonium in the crowd as he threw merch at fans.

‘The Man Himself’, Alkaline went on to claim the audience’s full attention, enthralling them with selections from his catalogue, such as Champion Boy and Company. With the London staging of New Rules concluded, Jamaican fans will have their opportunity to see Alkaline live this summer.

The artiste’s new rules festival is scheduled to return to the country of its origin on July 5.New Rules was last staged in Jamaica in 2022 at the National Stadium in Kingston. This year, the music festival will be staged at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium.
