Search for Persons of Interest Leads to Seizure of High-Powered Weapon

On Thursday, the authorities conducted special enquiries and intelligence-driven operations which led to the seizure of a high-powered weapon in Kingston 13.

According to the authorities, there has been a flare-up of violence in the Ramsay and Raphael Road communities and sections of Maxfield Avenue. As a result, the police conducted operations in the areas this morning targeting 3 of 17 men listed as persons of interest who they believe are connected to or can aid in their investigations.

The men have been identified as Chadayne ‘Neco’ Hinds, Kevin ‘Shot Head’ Harvey, and Kemar Parrie’ Fraser. During the search for the men, murder and shooting locations were revisited along with witness canvassing in order to identify and interview potential witnesses.

While searching a premises on Ramsey Road, a black Hi-Point 9mm rifle was discovered. The high-powered weapon was found inside a room of an unfinished concrete house hidden between sheets of zinc.

So far, no arrests have been made in connection to the gun seizure, and the suspects have not yet been located. Today’s gun seizure follows the Kingston West police’s seizure of another Hi-Point 9mm rifle during an operation yesterday.
