Funeral home director shot in alleged family dispute

A Funeral Director was fatally shot during an alleged family dispute in Palmers Cross, May Pen, Clarendon on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Sherwayne Williams otherwise known as ‘Baba’, the owner of Foot Prints Funeral Home in the parish.

Reports are that Williams was at his place of business at around 9:35am when a heated argument developed with a family member.

During the altercation, Williams was shot once in the head and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police have listed the suspect in the shooting as the businessman’s brother-in-law.

Residents have described the incident as unpredictable and tragic as Williams was a kind man.

The Clarendon police are investigating.
