Police have taken one man into custody following a violent incident in Seaview, St Elizabeth, where one brother was killed and two other family members were injured.
The attack took place early Saturday morning at the family’s home in Stephenson Town sometime between 12:30 and 1:00am.
The deceased has been identified as Travis Williams, a 23-year-old laborer of the parish.
Reports are that, the suspect used a machete to inflict wounds on the eldest brother, Travis, the youngest sibling, and the mother.
The mother and her young son were taken to the hospital for their injuries, while Travis died on the spot.
The suspect was restrained by residents before being handed over to authorities.
The small community has been left in shock and disbelief.
