Sections of the Mandela Highway have been closed following a fatal shooting by the police on Wednesday.
Three men were fatally shot in a reported shootout during a Combined Tactical Operations Command sometime after 12:00pm.
Acting on intelligence, the police targeted a black Honda Fit motor vehicle allegedly occupied by gunmen.
A reported shootout ensued and all men abroad were shot and killed.
The shooting took place on the Westbound Lane in the vicinity of the PJ Patterson Highway.
The Eastbound Lane has been turned into a two-way traffic lane.
