Suspect Detained After Man Stabbed to Death Over Alleged Love Triangle

The Ocho Rios Police have detained a man for questioning, suspected of being involved in the fatal stabbing of another man in Alexandria, St. Ann.

The deceased man, Chadroy Nash, resided in the Alexandria community of St. D’Acre and was employed as a tiler. The police suspect that the 34-year-old was in a romantic relationship with a 16-year-old girl, with whom he was at the time of his murder.

According to reports, Nash brought the food to the teen’s home in Inverness, Alexandria, at approximately 8:50 on Wednesday evening. The minor reportedly asked Nash to follow her on the road, and while they were walking together, the pair were approached by a man in a ski mask.

The masked man proceeded to stab Nash multiple times before fleeing. However, the assailant left a bag with an identification card at the scene.
Nash was later pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. While investigations are ongoing, the police theorise that Nash was killed due to a love triangle between him, the teen, and the suspect.

The commanding officer for St. Ann, Senior Superintendent of Police Carlos Russell, shared that the suspect surrendered to the Ochio Rios police on Thursday, accompanied by his lawyer. The man, whose name has not yet been confirmed, will be questioned in relation to Nash’s murder.
