TikToker Ackeem has spoken out, sharing his side of the story following his public fallout with fellow TikToker and collaborator Rosealee, who has been lashing out at him on social media.
The pair recently started a highly popular couple series on TikTok, which left fans speculating whether they were just friends acting for fun or were truly in a relationship. Fans were seemingly not the only ones unsure about the status of their relationship, as it appears to have been the cause of the rift between the social media personalities.
Amid the growth in popularity of their series, Rosealee bashed Ackeem during live streams, describing him as selfish and a “p**sy”. The situation was further worsened when a TikToker known as ‘TikTok Lawyer’ said that Rose told her that Ackeem was gay.
However, Rosealee has denied making any such statement. Despite Rosealee’s denial, Ackeem shared during a live stream that he believes that she began spreading the rumours about him because she and TikTok Lawyer are friends.
He explained that their fallout started the day they were filming a cooking video at an Airbnb. According to Ackeem, Rosealee was upset the entire time leading up to the filming due to scheduling, but they smoothed things over before they started.
Ackeem went on to state that the live stream went very well; however, Rosealee seemingly wanted them to stay at the Airbnb after the stream.
“Mi nah seh dis is har intention enuh people. Unuh nuh qoute mi pan dis and get mi wrong. Mi nuh know wah har expectation the night when the live end, but weh mi a get from it she did want mi and har stay ovah. And mi seh to har mi nah stay ovah,” Ackeem said.
He further shared that after bringing her home, he called her to tell her that he had reached his house safely. Ackeem said that while everything appeared to be fine between them initially, she later messaged him, accusing him of being gay.
“She seh to mi the nade seh that, ‘Yuh cyah trick mi are con mi. Yuh prove to mi tonight seh yuh don’t straight caw yuh nuh in a mi.’ Suh mi run har weh fi it,” Ackeem said.
He explained that it was the next day that TikTok Lawyer made the same statement. Ackeem went on to explain that, despite being incredibly hurt, he never disrespected Rosealee. According to the TikToker he was willing to sort out their disagreement offline, but she chose to continue disrespecting him during her live streams.
Ackeem added that he has always put Rosealee’s best interest first and has never disrespected her or tolerated any disrespect directed at her.
