Missing 1-Y-O and 3-Y-O Found Dead; Father Confesses to Murders

The search for two missing 1-year-old and 3-year-old siblings ended in tragedy on Wednesday after both children were found dead.

The children, two boys, were reported missing on Tuesday night in Moneague, St. Ann. According to reports, the children’s mother went to their father’s home, where they were staying, in a community known as Swamp and observed him acting strangely. The man was reportedly found in a semi-conscious state outside the house.

Bloodstains were also seen in sections of the home, including in an area where the two children slept. Reports state that the mother raised an alarm after she realised that her children were missing.

She went on to notify the police, and a search was launched utilising drones and search dogs.

After several hours of searching, the missing children were found in an area behind their father’s house. One of the minors was found in a lake, and the body of the other was discovered in an unfinished concrete structure.

According to Nationwide News, the man later went to the police station and confessed to killing his sons. As the probe into the incident continues, investigators have reportedly declined to discuss the circumstances leading up to the children’s disappearances.

However, initial reports indicate that the father had consumed a drug-infused concoction believed to be ganja tea.
