TikToker Candy’s Bail Extended After Getting Charged with Wounding with Intent

TikToker Candy, birth name Kemar Jones, had his bail extended after appearing in the Kingston and St. Andrew parish court on Tuesday.

Jones was previously charged with wounding with intent. After he had failed to appear in court on June 28, 2025, to answer to the charge, a bench warrant was issued.

While Jones had made the hearing this time around, the investigating officer and the complainant were absent when the case was called on Tuesday. During yesterday’s hearing, Judge Peter Wilson, the presiding judge in Jones’s ongoing case, questioned why the social media personality had missed his original hearing date.

According to the TikToker, his home had burnt down during a fire. Jones also told Wilson that he had been injured during the blaze.

However, Jones did not provide the judge with a medical report as evidence to support his claim. While Jones’s explanation left Wilson sceptical, the judge agreed to vacate the bench warrant and have his bail extended.

Jones’s next court appearance is scheduled for October 3, and Judge Wilson warned him that he would face the consequences if he missed his next hearing. In addition to extending Jones’s bail, Judge Wilson also assigned a legal aid attorney to represent him in the case in the future.

“If a nuh you a stab up somebody or a war with somebody, a somebody a war with you… It cheaper we keep you,” Wilson said.

The judge was seemingly making reference to Jones’s previous court case, which was resolved after mediation in May. Jones and another man, Winston Denis, had been charged with assault and wounding with intent, respectively.

However, both men pleaded not guilty, and Denis agreeing to pay Jones $100,000.
