Popular Jamaican TikToker Neisha, who is known for her content with her partner Owie, has passed away after falling ill following her pregnancy.
Neisha and Owie built their social media fanbase with couple-based content primarily on TikTok. The young social media personality gave birth to her and Owie’s daughter last year, and initially
, all appeared well after the delivery.
But Neisha fell ill shortly after. Some reports state that Neisha shared during the early days of her illness that she had iron deficiency anaemia and doctors had placed her on medication.
However, her health did not improve and continued to deteriorate rapidly. Neisha had been hospitalised over the past few months, with multiple rumours surfacing online about what caused the sudden decline in her health, including a spiritual attack.
Neisha’s passing was confirmed by a friend of the couple and a fellow TikToker on Tuesday. A few days before her death, Owie shared during a live stream that Neisha told him that she felt like she was going to die and that he should take care of their daughter.
Following Neisha’s death, her friends and supporters have been sharing their condolences online. Dancer Dancing Rebel described Neisha as a sweet gem in her condolence message and encouraged Owie to remain strong.
“Me not even know weh fi say girl OMG, just suh? Rest in love you sweet sweet gem! God knows the story and I pray everything will be revealed soon. A always the good people dem cut the fastest! Owie I hope you also find peace bro. Keep strong for your baby. She is gonna need you,” Rebel wrote.
She also criticised the social media users who had bullied Neisha after she had just had her baby.
