A Jamaican woman living in the Bronx, New York, is believed to have been stabbed to death during a domestic dispute with her spouse.
The deceased, 40-year-old victim, Tamara Rowe, resided in a Wakefield apartment building on 667 East 232 Street with her boyfriend and her daughter. The name of her spouse has not been disclosed.
According to reports, the building’s superintendent disclosed to the press that surveillance footage from inside the building shows Rowe’s boyfriend running out of the apartment and down the stairs. The footage was allegedly recorded on Saturday night around the time the authorities say Rowe was attacked and stabbed.
Police sources reportedly shared with News 12 that after the domestic dispute, a sibling to one of the people involved in the fight called the police.
When the police arrived at Rowe’s apartment, she was found with multiple stab wounds. In addition to the wounds she sustained to her chest, Rowe also had wounds on her right arm.
She was transported to a hospital; however, she later died from her injuries. The police have not yet made any arrests.
According to one of Rowe’s neighbours, Cheryl Thompson, blood was seen in the elevator of their building. Thompson shared that she often saw Rowe walking with her daughter and spouse as a family.
