Nurse Found Dead at Her Boyfriend’s Apartment in Manchester

The Jamaica Constabulary Force has launched an investigation into the death of a nurse who was found dead at her partner’s home over the weekend.

The deceased has been identified as Navinor Knight, a patient care assistant at the Manchester Infirmary. The 42-year-old nurse who resided in the parish was visiting her partner at his Hillside, Knockpatrick, apartment when she passed away.

According to reports, Knight’s body was found face down on the floor near a doorway in the kitchen on Saturday. The police were later called to the scene and discovered what appeared to be blood in her mouth.
However, no visible marks of violence were seen on her body. A post-mortem is scheduled to be conducted to determine Knight’s cause of death.

According to the Mayor of Mandeville, Donovan Mitchell, the police do not currently suspect foul play.

“I’ve learnt of a death of a member of my staff from the Manchester infirmary, one of our PCAs, and I have spoken to the police, and they have not suspected any foul play at this time. But they’re doing their investigations, and I’ve asked them to do a thorough investigation as to the circumstances of her death,” Mitchell said.

The mayor also sent his condolences to her family and shared that counselling will be provided to her co-workers at the infirmary.
