Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ racketeering and sex trafficking trial began on May 12 and is expected to last for two months at the Manhattan federal court in New York. Cassie Ventura’s former friend Kerry Morgan took the stand on Monday during Combs’ ongoing trial, accusing the artiste of physically assaulting Kassie while they were in Jamaica.
During Ventura’s testimony last week, the singer was shown a photo of her and Combs in Jamaica. The then-couple was at a staging of SoundClash in Kingston, and Ventura said that she was bruised at the time.

Details about the alleged incident that left Ventura bruised were shared by Morgan during her testimony yesterday. Ventura and Morgan shared a close friendship from 2001 to 2018, and during her testimony, she said that Cassie lost her “confidence” and “spark” after she and Combs began dating.
According to Morgan, Combs became so enraged at Cassie while they were in Jamaica that he dragged her by her hair down a 50-yard hallway. Morgan was asked if the incident was caused by jealousy, but Ventura’s former friend said Combs allegedly did it because the singer was “taking too long in the bathroom.”

Though Ventura and Morgan’s friendship spanned over a decade, the pair have not spoken in years. During her testimony yesterday, Morgan shared that their friendship collapsed after Combs allegedly physically assaulted her.
Morgan accused Combs of throwing a hanger at her head and choking her. After suffering a concussion, Morgan was reportedly paid US$30,000 and signed a non-disclosure agreement.
