Following the death of a Nigerian doctor in a tragic Easter Monday crash in St. Mary, a truck, a Kia motorcar, and a Honda Fit collided during another St. Mary car crash today.
According to reports, a Kia motorcar had exited a minor road to enter the Rio Nuevo main road when it drove into the path of a truck. The truck hit the Kia motorcar in the back, which caused the vehicle to collide with a Honda Fit.
Two police officers were travelling in the Honda Fit at the time of the accident. The officers and two people who were travelling in the Kia were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Reports state that one of the officers’ legs was broken during the accident. A resident of the area, Winston, highlighted that the scene of the incident was dangerous and called for drivers, passengers, and pedestrians to be more cautious when traversing the St. Mary Road.
Today’s crash follows the death of 36-year-old Nigerian doctor Ubung Etti. Etti was travelling in a Honda Fit driven by another doctor when the driver reportedly swerved the vehicle to avoid a collision with another car.
Etti died from the injuries he sustained after the Honda Fit hit an embankment and plunged over a 150-foot-deep precipice.
