Two women killed, three injured by licensed firearm holder in Mandeville

Two women have been confirmed dead and three others injured following a deadly shooting at a candlelight vigil in Mandeville on Sunday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Aldeen Dixon, a 35-year-old of Coleyville, Manchester, and Stacy-Ann Musgrave of Barnstable District, Manchester.

Among the injured people are a 12-year-old boy and two other women.

Preliminary reports suggest that the incident stemmed from a minor motor vehicle accident involving the licensed firearm holder.

According to a police report, the shooter, identified as 50-year-old Patrick Thompson of Levy Lane, Manchester, observed a motorist crash into his parked car while trying to leave the candlelight.

An argument between the two motorists then erupted into a physical confrontation.

Mr. Thompson reports that he was attacked by everyone, in an attempt to defend himself, several shots were fired.

After the shooting subsided, five persons were reportedly shot.

The injured victims were taken to the hospital, where Aldeen and Stacy-Ann were pronounced dead, two other women were in stable condition, and the little boy was treated for a gunshot wound to his leg.

Mr. Thompson drove himself to the police station and made a report.

He was subsequently taken into custody, and his firearm seized.

Investigations are ongoing.
