The police are confirming that three members of the Ants Posse Gang were fatally shot in a confrontation with security forces in Grange Hill, Westmoreland on Wednesday morning.
Preliminary reports suggest that a police team armed with a search warrant was dispatched to Mint Road, Crowder, at around 5:00am in search of illegal firearms when they came under heavy gunfire.
The police took evasive action and returned fire. When the shooting subsided, three men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were rushed to the Savanna-La-Mar Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The deceased was identified as Jervan Hall, otherwise known as ‘Ghost,’ David Brooks, also known as ‘Blingaz’, and Travis Smith O/C ‘Short Boss.’
A fourth man reportedly escaped from the scene, he was identified as Sandario Vanhorne O/C ‘Drug Lord’.
The police reportedly retrieved two firearms, a Taurus G2C, and a Browing 9-millimeter.
The Independent Commission Of Investigations INDECOM is investigating 50 police killings since the start of the year 2025 which is an increase of 163%.
