One woman is confirmed dead after falling from a motorcycle in St. Thomas on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Shanelia Powell.
Preliminary reports suggest that Ms. Powell was riding on a motorbike when she lost control, fell off, and was run over by a motor vehicle.
The incident caused a build-up of traffic along the main road.
Motorists contacted the police, and upon their arrival, the now-deceased was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Motorists are being urged to drive carefully and wear helmets when traveling on motorbikes as road fatalities climb in 2025.
