Popular Dancehall Artiste Jamal, otherwise known as ‘1Dunceman,’ was taken into police custody early Friday morning.
The entertainer was taken into custody in relation to gang activities.
Jamal, born Tyvel Dixon was arrested by members of the Specialized Operations after a performance at Mecca nightclub in St. Andrew.
The police are alleging that Jamal is affiliated with the notorious Dunce Gang I’m Barrett Town, St. James.
According to the police, Mr. Dixon is a person of interest in three murders in St. James.
The Ballan d’Or artiste was detained along with eleven members of his entourage; four of the men are suspected to be a part of the Dunce Gang.
Two cellular phones belonging to Jamal were confiscated.
Investigations are ongoing going.
