The leader of the One Order Gang based in Spanish Town, St. Catherine was shot and killed by the police along Six Miles in St. Andrew on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Ophneil Lobban otherwise called ‘Thick Man’ of Tawes Pen, Spanish Town.
Reports are that Thick Man was intercepted by cops of the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime (CTOC), which ended sometime around 11:00pm at Six Miles on the overhead bridge leading to Washington Boulevard.
The police, acting on intelligence, gave chase to a blue motor vehicle, which ended in a three-vehicle collision on the bridge.
Thick Man was then taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The crash caused a build-up in traffic and motorists were diverted to Spanish Town Road.
Thick Man was on the police’s radar and wanted for several serious crimes.
INDECOM is probing the matter.
