A man was shot by members of the security forces in Franklin Town, Kingston on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Adam Eddie, a 27-year-old from Lacy Road in Franklin Town.
Reports are that, at around 5:00am members of the security forces were patrolling when they observed Adam with a firearm.
According to the police, Adam pointed the gun in their direction which resulted in the police taking lethal action.
Residents of Lacy Road refuted the police’s claims and called their actions cold bloody murder.
Adam is said to be disabled and is not involved in criminal activities.
The Independent Commission Of Investigations INDECOM is probing the matter.
As of January 15, the police have been involved in more than a dozen fatal shootings.
