Investigators are trying to ascertain a motive for the killing of a well-known businessman and pastor in Old Harbour, St. Catherine on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Michael Spencer, a 41-year-old pastor of Old Harbour Glades.
Reports are that Mr. Spencer was at his stall in Old Harbour Town when he was approached by two armed men.
Spencer was shot multiple times in the head and upper body.
His attackers escaped in a waiting motorcar.
Spencer was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Spencer was the pastor of the United Church in Old Harbour.
Church members prayed for Mr. Spencer’s family on Sunday, hours after his passing.
