One of Westmoreland’s most wanted was shot and killed in an alleged confrontation by the police in Little London, Westmoreland on Friday.
The deceased was identified by lawmen as Carlington ‘Tommy’ Godfrey an alleged member of the King Valley Gang.
Godfrey, who the police say was on their radar for numerous crimes was also featured on JCF’s Wanted Wednesdays.
Reports are that a police-led operation in search of wanted criminals went to a premises in Little London when they were fired upon.
A shoot-out ensued and Godfrey was reportedly shot in the head.
Another police officer was injured in the ordeal.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force is again warning criminals not to engage with police officers.
