Mass shooting at wake leaves 3 dead in St. Andrew

Another mass shooting has rocked the island leaving three people dead and four injured at a wake in Hunts Bay, St. Andrew.

The deceased has been identified as Kimberly Plummer, a 23-year-old Call Center Agent of a Mandela Terrace address in Kingston, and 32-year-old Derrick Goodgame otherwise known as ‘Ricky’ a labourer of Chatsworth Avenue, Kingston 11.

The third person was identified only as “Tonni” a male with dark complexion, tattoos on his left arm and chest, sporting a plaited hairstyle, and dressed in a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Reports are that around 9:45pm a group of people were gathered at a wake on Mandela Terrace when gunmen drove up in multiple vehicles and started firing indiscriminately at mourners.

When the shooting subsided, 7 persons were shot and rushed to the hospital.

Three were pronounced dead on arrival.

No motive has been established for the attack.

This is the third mass shooting in the past three weeks that has left 12 people dead and 20 injured.

Last week Wednesday, popular entertainer Christopher Martin, grandmother’s wake was shot up by criminals, leaving one dead and six others injured.
