Eight people are confirmed dead and seven injured when gunmen invaded a Bingo Party in Four Paths, Clarendon on Sunday night.
Our news time understands that three women, four men and a child are amongst the deceased.
Preliminary reports suggest that around 9:40pm a white Toyota Axio motor vehicle drove up in Cherry Tree Lane, Four Paths and men armed with rifles alighted from the vehicle and opened gunfire at the patrons.
Five persons died on the spot and the others were rushed to the hospital where some succumbed to their injuries.
Parish Commander Superintendent Shane McCalla was on the scene.
There is currently a strong police-military presence in the community.
